Responsibilities:

· General site clean up

- setting up and managing dewatering pumps

· Material management, delivery of materials to units

· Rough carpentry skills would be an asset.

- Run material hoist on an as needed basis

· Operate and care for construction equipment and machines including bobcats, reach lifts, fork lifts, etc. if required - Training available

· Put together and take apart temporary structures, such as scaffolding, safety railings and hoarding

· Follow instructions from supervisors

· Assist craft workers

· Ready to learn from on-the-job training when necessary

· Use power tools and machinery

· Report issues with equipment or unsafe conditions

· Other duties as required

Requirements:

· Must have a valid Ontario driver's license

· Access to reliable transportation

· Be at least 18 years of age

· High school diploma

· Ability to do physical labour and other strenuous physical tasks (standing for long periods of time, lifting heavy loads of up to 50 pounds etc.)

· Ability to work in all weather conditions

· Commitment to following safety rules and regulations including those related to COVID-19

· You supply CSA work boots, hard hats and high-visibility clothing

· Must be punctual and reliable

· Good hand-eye coordination

· Communication and teamwork skills

· Strong work ethic, great attitude and commitment to success

· Experience as a general labourer in the construction industry is considered an asset

· Familiarity with power tools and machinery is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$21.00 per hour
