Customer Service Representative - Lumber / Building Materials Sales

Family owned and operated through four generations, Copp’s Buildall has played a prominent role in the city of London’s building industry for over 145 years. We have four locations within London and supply to both contractor and retail customers.

We are currently looking for retail sales people to join our team at our Dundas St location.

Ideal candidate would be comfortable in a retail environment, have lumber/building material experience, and want a career in the industry.

The sales team is responsible for providing customer service for all our contractors, builders, and residential customers. They must have the ability to effectively communicate to customers and coworkers, gaining an understanding of customer needs, as they pertain to the construction industry.

Store hours are Monday - Friday 7am - 6pm and Saturday / Sunday from 8am - 4pm.

YOUR NEW ROLE:

• Assist both retail and contractor customers with their building projects

• Provide material quotations

• Assist with merchandising and refilling stock to the shelves

• Handling telephone inquiries

• Advises customers by providing proficient knowledge of products and services; using resources where required.

• Assists customers in making the best selections for their specified project.

• Follows proper procedures for all orders through the POS system

YOU WILL PROVIDE:

• Sales experience

• General interest in the construction industry

• General math skills

• Comfortable with basic computer skills

• Excellent customer service skills

• Able to work in a team environment

• Available days, evenings and weekends

Preference will be given to those with previous lumber, fence, deck sales and estimating skills.
