Fleet Manager

Company Overview

TLC is a growing landscaping company that transitions into full snow removal operations each winter. We are looking for a Fleet Manager to oversee all vehicles, equipment, rentals, and fleet compliance across branches.

This role is hands-on and fast-paced. The Fleet Manager keeps trucks on the road, equipment assigned properly, and mechanics focused on repairs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily fleet operations
  • Coordinate breakdowns, repairs, towing, and vendor service
  • Track and manage all trucks, trailers, and equipment
  • Monitor GPS systems daily (driver behavior, location, theft prevention)
  • Review and approve shop and service invoices
  • Handle insurance claims and incident reporting
  • Maintain fleet records, safety schedules, and compliance tracking
  • Support seasonal transitions between landscaping and snow operations
  • Order and assign equipment; assist with CapEx planning
  • Manage keys, fobs, phones, and fleet access systems

Qualifications

  • 5+ years experience in fleet, equipment, or operations management
  • Experience supporting field crews or trades-based teams
  • Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance and repair workflows
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets and online systems
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to start early and adjust hours seasonally
  • Landscaping, construction, or snow operations experience
  • Experience with insurance claims, and asset tracking systems
