Position Summary

Spectra Landscaping is seeking dependable, hardworking General Labourers to join our growing team. The successful candidate will assist with a variety of landscaping and property maintenance duties while providing exceptional service to our residential and commercial customers. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working outdoors, are physically fit, and take pride in producing quality work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform lawn maintenance including mowing, trimming, edging, and blowing debris.
  • Assist with landscape installation projects such as planting trees, shrubs, flowers, mulch, and decorative stone.
  • Complete spring and fall property cleanups.
  • Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Load, unload, and transport tools, equipment, and materials.
  • Assist with sod installation and garden bed preparation.
  • Perform general property maintenance and site clean-up.
  • Remove snow from driveways, sidewalks, parking lots, and commercial properties during winter months using shovels, snow blowers, and other equipment.
  • Follow all workplace health and safety procedures.
  • Communicate professionally with supervisors, coworkers, and customers.
  • Maintain company vehicles, trailers, and equipment in clean, safe operating condition.
  • Complete assigned tasks efficiently while maintaining high-quality workmanship.

Qualifications

  • Previous landscaping or general labour experience is considered an asset but is not required.
  • Valid G driver's licence is preferred.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work in various weather conditions.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.
  • Strong work ethic with a positive attitude.
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn new skills and follow instructions.
  • Experience operating landscaping equipment is an asset.

Working Conditions

  • Outdoor work in varying weather conditions throughout the year.
  • Early morning starts may be required.
  • Overtime and weekend work may be required during peak seasons.
  • Seasonal transition into snow removal duties during winter months.
