Human Resources Associate - Contract

Salary Range: $32.00 To $34.00 Hourly

At this time, we are recruiting for an outgoing, highly motivated, organized individual to join our Human Resource Team as an HR Associate on a 6-month contract basis.
Reporting to the Human Resource Manager, the HR Associate will assist with the recruitment and selection process for our facility as well as the day-to-day administration work within Human Resource Department.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Complete the full recruitment life cycle including:
Source candidates using social media tools, recruiting resources and job fairs
Pre-screening and interviewing candidates for production and drivers.
Monitor LHLS website and external sources to ensure that job postings are maintained and up to date.
Complete employment references for candidates.
Prepare new hire orientation packages.
Filing
Administrative duties such as Employment letters
Safety talk tracking and filing
Performance review tracking
attendance tracking
Applicant tracking
Complete exit interviews.
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Post-Secondary Education or equivalent
Successful completion of a diploma in Human Resources or Business Administration.
Certified Human Resources Professional (CHRP) or progress towards its achievement.
Experience with Collective Agreements and non-union policies related to recruitment and selection an asset.
Superior organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple and competing priorities/deadlines while attending to numerous details in a high-stress environment.
Excellent written and oral communication skills are required.
Knowledge of HR legislation & practices (eg. Employment Standards & Human Rights)
Advanced verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated proficiency Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook),
Compensation for this position is as follows:
Salary $32-$34 per hour dependent on experience (40-hour work week)
