Looking ahead, Forest City Healing Centre (FCHC) is an eagerly anticipated, residential care environment, opening soon on Queens Avenue. This dedicated centre will provide an all-male residential setting for those seeking a more immersive and focused healing experience. EPIC Recovery is proud to be providing all clinical staffing for FCHC. This means that if you're a successful candidate for a clinical role at FCHC, you'll be an EPIC Recovery employee, subcontracted to work at this groundbreaking new location.

Position Overview:

The Intake & Admissions Coordinator is often the first point of contact for individuals and families seeking support through FCHC. This role is critical in creating a welcoming, compassionate, and organized intake experience that supports emotional safety from the very first interaction. The Coordinator manages the full admissions process — from inquiry to orientation — while actively supporting outreach, partnership-building, and networking initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first point of contact for individuals, families, and referring professionals
  • Conduct pre-screenings and initial assessments to ensure suitability for residential care
  • Clearly explain intake processes, expectations, timelines, and requirements with empathy and professionalism
  • Collaborate with clinical staff to review applications and coordinate admissions
  • Maintain accurate client records and intake documentation in compliance with privacy legislation
  • Provide orientation support, including preparation guidance, packing lists, and emotional readiness resources
  • Coordinate intake appointments, assessments, and communication between internal and external stakeholders
  • Track admissions metrics and timelines to support internal reporting and optimize efficiency
  • Lead and participate in outreach and networking initiatives to grow program visibility and increase client admissions
  • Build relationships with EAPs, corporations, referral organizations, and healthcare professionals
  • Coordinate and participate in calls or meetings with FCHC management, the Clinical Director, and the CEO to support strategic partnerships
  • Work with insurance providers to verify benefits and coordinate billing
  • Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling, follow-up communication, and file management
  • Offer support and reassurance to clients and families before, during, and after admission
  • Uphold the values of dignity, cultural safety, and whole-person care in every interaction

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Social Work, Addictions & Mental Health, Psychology, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum 1 year of experience working in intake, admissions, case management, or triage (required)
  • Strong understanding of addiction, trauma, stigma, and mental health systems
  • Demonstrated experience in sales, outreach, referral coordination, or business development
  • Excellent communication, organization, and administrative skills
  • Familiarity with confidentiality standards, consent, insurance coordination, and documentation in healthcare settings
  • Empathy-driven approach with the ability to de-escalate and support individuals in distress
  • Tech-savvy: comfortable with digital forms, intake platforms, spreadsheets, and basic reporting
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Must have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check
