Why this Role Matters

Maintenance is most effective when work is planned before problems arise. This role brings clarity and coordination to maintenance activities, helping teams stay prepared, equipment stay reliable, and operations stay on track.

Thoughtful planning reduces disruptions, improves safety, and allows maintenance work to support production rather than compete with it. When planning is done well, teams have what they need before work begins, risks are reduced, and reliability becomes part of everyday operations.

As a Maintenance Planner, you’ll connect people, schedules, and data to ensure maintenance work is purposeful, prioritized, and aligned with the long-term health of our equipment and facility.

What You’ll Be Accountable For:

  • Maintenance Planning: Develop, schedule, and manage preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance work using the CMMS.
  • Work Prioritization: Create, review, and prioritize maintenance work orders based on risk, urgency, and production needs.
  • Schedule Coordination: Align maintenance plans with production schedules to minimize downtime and disruption.
  • CMMS Data Integrity: Maintain accurate asset records, job plans, parts lists, and maintenance history in the CMMS.
  • Materials Readiness: Ensure tools, parts, and resources are available before work beings by preparing job bins and materials.
  • Spare Parts Management: Organize, label, and manage inventory in the maintenance parts crib and track usage accurately.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor stock levels, issue parts correctly, and work with procurement to reorder critical spares.
  • Performance Analysis: Track key maintenance KPIs and analyze equipment history to identify reliability improvements.
  • Reliability Improvement: Support root cause analysis and reliability-based maintenance practices.
  • Shutdown Planning: Assist with planning shutdowns, turnarounds, and capital improvement projects.
  • Team Communication: Communicate job plans and schedules clearly to maintenance supervisors and technicians.
  • Safety & Compliance: Support safety documentation, including Lockout/Tagout, and follow quality and environmental standards.
