Packaging Technician

JC Green is looking to fill the position of Packaging Technician, who, under the direction of the Production Manager, will be primarily responsible for packaging, processing and sanitation tasks at our facility located in Thorndale, ON.

Job Duties

• Hand-package dried cannabis and cannabis extracts; complete inspections on materials and finished products, label and fill containers

• Bulk process dried cannabis (debudding, hand trimming, milling, sorting) and complete quality checks as directed

• Maintain accurate documentation for production tasks such as weighing product, quality checks, sanitation and destruction

• Assist in cultivation activities as required by management

• Complete all housekeeping and sanitation tasks including sweeping, mopping, cleaning equipment, and disinfecting work surfaces

• Comply with all hygiene and bio-security requirements

• Apply excise stamps to finished cannabis products, package product and label finished cases

• All other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

• Ability to work individually as well as part of a team (need to be comfortable working in large groups)

• Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing

• Strong attention to detail

• High level of integrity and work ethic

• Ability to commute to a rural location

Cannabis trimming and/or manufacturing related experience (preferred)

• Ability to lead a small team (2-5 people) is an asset
