Foundations in Wood Manufacturing

Program Length: 9 Weeks = 8 Weeks in Class + 1-Week Co-op with a Local Employer


Participants will learn essential skills and gain certifications needed to succeed in the cabinetry and industrial wood manufacturing sector.

You will learn:

  • Shop Safety & Procedures
  • Tool Set-up, Use & Basic Maintenance
  • Marking, Measuring & Drafting
  • Fastening Methods
  • Basic Joinery & Related Tools
  • Material Preparation & Finishing
  • CNC Programming

Certifications:

  • Working at Heights
  • First Aid and CPR
  • WHMIS
  • Worker Health and Safety Awareness

Please note: This is a full-time course. Students will be in class 5 days a week during the program.
