This is a contract until the end of August! But full time hours until then.
This is a labour-intensive role: outdoor role- it is cold, it is hot, and you're on your feet all day.

Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and hardworking General Labourer to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with various tasks on construction sites, ensuring projects are completed efficiently and to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:

Assist skilled tradespeople with construction and renovation tasks
Load and unload materials and equipment
Maintain a clean and organized worksite
Follow safety protocols and guidelines
Perform general maintenance and repair tasks as needed
Operate basic hand and power tools

Hardscaping Installation:
Assist in the installation of stone patios, walkways, retaining walls, and other hardscaping features.
Handle, cut, and place various types of stone and materials for outdoor designs.
Ensure proper alignment and grading for durability and aesthetics.

Softscaping Assistance:
Support the planting and maintenance of trees, shrubs, flowers, and other vegetation.
Dig holes, prepare soil, and place plants according to design specifications.
Assist in soil conditioning and mulching tasks to ensure plant health.

Water Feature Construction:
Assist with the construction and installation of water features such as ponds, streams, and waterfalls.
Ensure proper installation of pumps, liners, and plumbing for water systems.
Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of water features.

Site Preparation and Cleanup:
Clear debris and prepare the job site for landscaping installations.
Assist in removing old materials, plants, or structures before new installations begin.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.

Equipment Operation:
Safely operate tools and equipment such as wheelbarrows, shovels, excavators, and stone-cutting tools.
Transport and carry materials as needed across the worksite.

Team Collaboration:
Work closely with designers and senior landscapers to execute landscaping plans.
Assist in ensuring the project is completed on time and to client specifications.
Follow all safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

Client Interaction:
Occasionally assist in client communications regarding design questions or minor adjustments.
Ensure that the worksite remains professional and courteous at all times.

Maintenance and Repairs:
Help with routine maintenance of completed projects, including replacing damaged stones, refreshing plantings, or cleaning water features.
Assist in seasonal clean-up tasks such as leaf removal, winterizing features, or preparing landscapes for new plantings.

Requirements:
Previous experience in construction and landscaping, or a related field is preferred
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks
Strong work ethic and reliability
Good communication and teamwork skills
Willingness to learn and take on new challenges
Valid driver's license is a plus
