Job description
Montessori Academy of London (MA) provides something unique in London: high-quality traditional
Montessori education that truly puts the needs of the child first. To support our students’ daily program,
MA is seeking an individual to facilitate our lunch program at one of our Childcare and Early Years Act
(CCEYA) licensed sites. The opportunity is a part-time role for the upcoming school year.

Hours are
10:30am-1:30pm daily from September to June. There is also the possibility of supply work to cover staff absences for qualified applicants.

Food Handlers Certificate and Vulnerable Sector Police Check are required; candidates willing to take
Safe Food Handling training before the start date will be considered (and reimbursed for training upon
signing of contract).

The ideal candidate has:
● Food Handlers Certificate; experience serving, plating food.
● Early Childhood Education Diploma preferred but not required.
● Medical Examination/Immunization Records, and Standard First Aid and CPR C
● Maturity, responsibility, a friendly demeanor, compassion and patience.
● Excellent communication skills, organizational skills; and a collaborative spirit.
● Experience working in a daycare or school environment is preferred.
● A Vulnerable Sector Police Check Screening.

Responsibilities
● Follow CCEYA requirements for serving a lunch program five days a week.
● Supporting three classrooms: Serve, plate food, and kitchen cleanup duties.
● Provide a caring, nurturing environment for students, both toddler and preschool ages, in
keeping with the Montessori philosophy and CCEYA requirements.

● For qualified applicants:
○ Occasionally act as supply staff in classrooms.
○ Supervise pre-school aged or toddler children to ensure their safety and well-being.
