EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY
Program Manager - Permanent Full Time
The Program Manager has a primary responsibility for ensuring safe, quality therapeutic equine instruction as per SARI standards, policies and procedures. The Program Manager is accountable for the overall success of current SARI programs, including the planning and implementation of new programs, ongoing program development and marketing, and analysis and reporting of outcome measurements as required by governing bodies.
Permanent, salaried, full time schedule of 40 hours per week with health spending account.
SARI is seeking a candidate with the following competencies: demonstrated success in leadership and mentorship of staff, strong ability to coordinate a demanding program schedule, exceptional organizational skills, excellent communication including public speaking, demonstrated knowledge and experience with program planning and implementation, understanding of the importance of service delivery, demonstrated effective interpersonal and customer service skills including conflict resolution and problem solving, commitment to safety and adherence/upholding of internal and governing body policy, and comfort level advocating for population served.
Ideal candidate will be flexible with scheduling.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 years' experience in management or supervisory role
Education and experience related to Equine Management and/or in related field such as Disability Studies, Developmental Service Worker, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy, Kinesiology or Speech Language Pathology an asset
Ideally 2 years' experience working with people with special needs
Strong organizational and problem solving/decision-making abilities
Demonstrated confidence in a leadership role including public relations and/or customer service
Able to work independently and harmoniously as part of a team
Related computer skills
