We are seeking a qualified Transmission Technician to join our growing automotive repair shop. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and rebuilding transmissions for a variety of vehicles. You will work independently and collaboratively with other technicians to ensure customer satisfaction and timely repairs.
Location: 123 Falcon St, London, ON N5W 4Z2
Rate of Pay: Varies on experience (25-35/hr)
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
Diagnose transmission problems using advanced scan tools and manual troubleshooting techniques
Repair and rebuild automatic and manual transmissions according to manufacturer specifications
Replace clutches, torque converters, valve bodies, and other transmission components
Perform preventative maintenance tasks such as fluid changes and filter replacements
Test drive vehicles to verify repairs and ensure proper operation
Communicate effectively with service advisors and customers to explain repairs and answer questions
Maintain a clean and organized work area
Adhere to all safety protocols
Qualifications:
Drivers License is a must
Some tools for the job
Reliability and honesty
Minimum of 2-5 years of experience as a Transmission Technician (experience requirements may vary)
ASE certification in Automatic Transmission/Transaxle (A3) a plus
Strong knowledge of automatic and manual transmission operation, diagnosis, and repair
Experience with specialized transmission tools and equipment
Excellent mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to quality work
