Crouch Neighbourhood Resource Centre is a registered charity based in the Hamilton Road neighbourhood of London, Ontario, where the average household income is 27 percent less than the city-wide average. Crouch works to build a healthy community where everyone belongs and can access resources with dignity. Residents are supported with basic needs such as emergency food and hygiene items, supportive services and programs focused on social inclusion and mental health wellness, income stability through social assistance applications and income tax filing, and low barrier recreational opportunities for children and families.

We are currently seeking a passionate and dynamic individual to join our team as a Volunteer and Community Development Coordinator.

Job Summary:
The Volunteer and Community Development Coordinator will play a crucial role in post pandemic efforts to revitalize the organization's volunteer program and community engagement efforts. This position will be responsible for implementing a newly established volunteer program by recruiting, training, and managing volunteers, in an inclusive and respectful culture. Cultivating and implementing strategies to strengthen community relationships in the Hamilton Road Neighbourhood in support our mission.

Key Responsibilities:

Volunteer Recruitment and Management:
Develop and implement targeted volunteer recruitment strategies.
Interview, screen and place volunteers based on their skills, interest and availability.
Conduct orientation sessions and provide appropriate training and on-going formal support to volunteers.
Accurately input and maintain data within the volunteer database.
Recognize and celebrate the contributions of volunteers.
Community Development:
Build and maintain relationships with community organizations, businesses, and stakeholders.
Identify and pursue opportunities for partnerships and collaborations.
Organize and participate in community events, workshops, and outreach activities.
Promote the organization's programs and services to the community.
Program Development:
Assist in the implementation of CNRC’s new volunteer led programs and initiatives.
Evaluate and collect feedback on the new volunteer program and make suggestions for adjustment and improvements.
Provide input on innovative volunteer program planning and development based on community needs, feedback as well as current trends I the field of volunteerism and volunteer management.
Administrative Duties:
Manage the volunteer database and ensure data accuracy.
Assist with reports for grants and funding applications.

Qualifications:
Completion of a University Undergraduate Program or Community College
Diploma Program in social work or community development or non-profit management.

Completion of Volunteer Management/Administration Certificate
Current certification in Volunteer Resource Management (CVRM) from Professional Administrators of Volunteer Leaders – Ontario (PAVR-O) AND/OR current certification from Council for Certification in Volunteer Administration (CVA)
Minimum 3-5 years of related experience in the field of volunteer management
Experience with recruitment, selection and stewardship of volunteers
Vulnerable Sector Check
Demonstrated proficiency in Google Docs, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Database
Valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle.
