Pathways Employment Help Centre (PEHC) unleashes people’s potential through Employment, Skills Training and Advocacy. Pathways Employment Help Centre is hiring a Marketing Assistant. This position is in-person and based on-site at PEHC.
Reporting to the Coordinator of Business Development & Communications, the Marketing Assistant
will work with the Marketing Team and Virtual Studio Team to create video content and support social
media and web marketing strategies. They will help promote PEHC and its Social Enterprises through
engaging digital and community-based outreach.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Anticipated Start Date: May 25, 2026
Hours of Work: 35 hours per week
Position Responsibilities:
• Assist with the development of digital marketing campaigns and content across multiple channels, including websites, Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google Ads
• Generate ideas and assist in creating employment-related instructional videos
• Create and edit video content for social media and web platforms
• Develop print marketing materials
• Support website updates and digital content management
• Assist with outreach activities and attend community events to promote PEHC programs
Qualifications:
• Graduate or senior student in Communications, Marketing, Contemporary Media, journalism or
a related field, or equivalent experience
• Strong knowledge of social media and web-based communications platforms
• Experience in graphic design as well as video/audio production is preferred
• Experience with tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud, WordPress, or Webflow is an
asset
• Strong Writing skills and attention to detail
• Comfortable engaging with on-camera interview subjects
• Knowledge of Adobe After Effects and Premiere is an asset
• Ability to collaborate well with others Ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee status in Canada

Training and Advocacy. The London Community Woodshop (LCW) is the only public woodshop in London and area. It is a place where community members can learn new woodworking skills, build projects for their home or business, and connect with other woodworkers. Pathways Employment Help Centre is currently hiring a LCW Woodworking Shop Helper.
Job Description: Reporting to the Woodshop Coordinator, the Woodworking Shop Helper will work with the
LCW team to support day-to-day shop operations, assist community members, and promote a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. The successful candidate will support workshops, community
programming, and basic woodworking and digital fabrication activities, including exposure to CNC equipment.
Compensation: $20.00 per hour
Anticipated Start Date: May 25, 2026

Position Responsibilities:
• Welcome community members and provide information and orientation to new and potential participants
• Monitor and support safe and proper use of tools and machinery
• Ensure proper usage of equipment among community program participants
• Assist with workshops, programs, and community events
• Foster a supportive and inclusive culture of learning with a passion for woodworking
• Administer membership policies and practices to maintain an open and fair environment
• Assist with shop maintenance, organization, and upkeep
• Support basic woodworking projects and custom orders
• Assist with CNC machine operation and digital fabrication activities (training provided)
Qualifications:
• Post-secondary education (completed or in progress) or equivalent experience, is considered an asset
• Interest in woodworking, skilled trades, or hands-on learning environments
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable engaging with diverse community members, including seniors and youth
• Attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Experience with woodworking tools or digital design/CNC equipment is an asset, but not required
• Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle is an asset
• Be between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of employment
• Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
• Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or a person granted refugee status in Canada

Your Role: As a Resume Writer at PEHC, you’ll play a key role in helping clients present their skills, experience, and potential with confidence and impact. You’ll meet with clients to understand their goals, identify their strengths, and develop tailored, ATS-friendly resumes and career documents. You’ll also collaborate with Employment Specialists to ensure clients receive high-quality, practical support that helps them succeed in their job search.
What You Bring to the Table:
· A diploma or degree in English, Journalism, Social Work, Career Development Practice (CDP), Psychology—or equivalent experience that showcases your skills.
· Experience in resume writing, employment services, career coaching, recruitment, communications, or a related field.
· Excellent writing, editing, and interviewing skills.
· A strong understanding of ATS formatting and resume-writing best practices.
· Knowledge of current labour market trends, hiring practices, and employer expectations.
· The ability to build rapport quickly and work with a high volume of clients each day.
· Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
· Comfort using AI tools to support writing, research, and workflow.
· A keen eye for detail and the ability to translate experience into clear, results-focused content.
· The ability to support clients from diverse backgrounds, industries, and stages of employment.
What You’ll Do:
· Meet with and advise multiple clients daily on resume strategy, job search documents, and positioning
· Write, edit, and customize ATS-friendly resumes, cover letters, and related career documents
· Translate client experience into clear, professional, results-focused content
· Support Employment Specialists with document development and client recommendations
· Provide informed guidance based on current labour market trends and employer expectations
· Help clients identify transferable skills, accomplishments, and target roles
· Use sound judgment to tailor resumes for different industries, experience levels, and career goals
· Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining quality and attention to detail
· Use AI tools comfortably and responsibly to support workflow, research, drafting, and editing
