Your Role: As an Employment Specialist at PEHC, you’ll be the bridge between opportunity and success. You’ll leverage your existing community connections and build new ones, uncovering job opportunities that align with our clients’ dreams and ambitions. You’ll be their guide, their cheerleader, and their strategic advisor, ensuring they not only find employment but thrive in it.

What you bring to the table:
● A university degree or post-secondary diploma in business, marketing, or human resources—or equivalent experience that showcases your skills.
● 3-5 years in a similar role, where you’ve proven your ability to connect the dots and drive success.
● A driver’s license and access to a vehicle—because you’ll be out there, making things happen!
● Established connections with area employers (you’re already ahead of the game).
● Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
● A collaborative spirit that thrives in team settings.
● Self-motivation and independence—because you know how to get the job done.
● A deep understanding of job search strategies, the London labour market, resume building, and networking.
The ability to interview and assess clients and employers, identifying the best matches and opportunities. ● A knack for connecting with diverse populations and building rapport with clients facing unique employment barriers.

This is what you will do
Network Like a Pro: Build and maintain relationships with local employers, promoting PEHC’s services and connecting our clients with the right opportunities.
Empower Clients: Guide clients through the job search process, providing expert advice and placing them in roles where they can thrive.
Collaborate: Work with clients, employers, and the Pathways team to realize success.
Assess and Advise: Conduct client intake and assessment meetings, ensuring readiness and mapping out next steps.
Monitor Success: Stay connected with clients and employers to ensure long-term success and job retention.
Keep Records: Maintain detailed records of interactions, ensuring nothing slips through the cracks.
Hit Your Targets: Meet monthly goals, helping clients secure employment opportunities and moving PEHC’s mission forward.
